The Fan Man Conversion system uses RF radio signals instead of the older Inteli-Touch “pulse” systems
The Fan Man Conversion system does not require the BFR used in the older Inteli-Touch systems

Couldn’t be happier with the retrofit. Fan works flawlessly and has taken the clumsy manufacturer switch out of the picture. No more pushing buttons and hoping for intended use. Took about an hour and a half for me and hardest part was reassembling the original fan shroud and covers. Great job guys thanks.
